Artist's Comments
The figure on the left holds strings connected to the flower that is in turn connected to the stars. Those stars represent reality which is meant to show how mankind is once removed from true reality. We know only those flowers directly. The second set of strings connected directly to the stars symbolizes an objective connection to reality that merely just is. No one holds those strings.
