My name is Lauren Coulson and I was born and raised in Memphis, TN, USA. This current body of work addresses what we define as “reality” combined with our imaginative thought processes. I have applied photographic qualities via transfers with acrylic paint to create a surreal environment that is created through my minds eye. I have always been interested in how we perceive the vast world we live in, and how what we perceive varies from person to person. I love to explore the foggy area of our awareness, and it is creating artwork that holds the most potent keys of expression.
